About Matt McCormick

My real estate journey began in 2004 when I started selling homes and, shortly after, bought my first home at just 20 years old. The value of the home dropped drastically within nine months, leaving my property worth half of what I had borrowed! Faced with this challenge, I got creative—remodeling the basement to add extra bedrooms and renting them out to stay afloat. That experience taught me to think outside the box and has shaped how I approach real estate today.

As the market struggled during the mortgage meltdown, I represented investors purchasing distressed, bank-owned properties. I proposed to banks that we clean and renovate these homes before marketing them for sale, leading to a successful partnership. I renovated hundreds of properties and eventually flipped my own—everything from homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina to distressed apartment buildings in the Pacific Northwest. This journey led me to help scale a tech-driven private equity fund in the Bay Area, buying 600 distressed homes across the Midwest each month.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve been buying and selling real estate for myself, my community, and corporate investment firms. Now, my wife and I call Spokane home, where we’re raising our two kids. With extensive experience in every phase of real estate, I’m dedicated to helping you make informed decisions—whether you’re buying, selling, or investing.
